Privacy Policy
Situf is built to work without knowing who you are. This page explains what we store, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are
Situf (situf.com) is operated by M&O Solutions. For any privacy question or request, contact us at mosolutions.co@gmail.com.
No accounts, no names
You can create, open and share posts without signing up. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any other contact details, and we do not build profiles of people.
What we store
- Posts. The title, text and optional image you publish. Images are re-encoded when uploaded, which removes embedded metadata such as camera details and GPS coordinates.
- An anonymous browser identifier. A random value kept in a first-party cookie, so that repeat visits from the same browser are counted once and your personal share link keeps working. We store only a one-way hash of it. It is not linked to your identity.
- Approximate location. When a post is opened, we estimate the city, region and country from the internet connection, using location data supplied by our hosting provider. We store only that place, rounded to the city centre. We do not store your IP address, and we never use precise or GPS location.
- Journey records. That a post was opened at a place, which share link led there, and when. These records contain no names and no IP addresses.
- Reports. If you report a post, we store the reason and any details you write, to review it.
Anyone with a post's link can see its journey: the places it was opened and the routes between them. Nothing on a public page identifies a person.
Cookies
Situf itself uses two cookies:
- situf_b: the anonymous browser identifier described above. It lasts up to 400 days.
- situf_owner: set only when the site operator signs in to moderate content.
Our advertising partner, Google, also uses cookies, as described in the next section.
Advertising
Situf is free and supported by ads. We use Google AdSense to show them. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of other vendors' cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
- Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
Service providers
We use Vercel for hosting, image storage and approximate location lookup, Neon for the database, and Google for advertising. They process data on our behalf to run the service.
How long we keep data
Posts and their journeys are kept until the post is deleted. The creator can delete a post at any time with the private management link they receive when publishing. Deleting a post removes its image, its journey records and its share links. We may remove posts that break our terms.
Your choices and rights
- Clear your browser cookies to reset the anonymous identifier. You will then count as a new browser.
- Delete your post with its management link.
- Contact us at mosolutions.co@gmail.com to ask about, correct or delete data. Because we do not collect identities, we may need the link of the post concerned to find it.
Children
Situf is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
